What the FUCK is the Toyota Venza?
And more importantly, where the hell does it fit into the market? I can't tell if it's supposed to be a Wagon, Minivan, or a Crossover... Help.

....aaaaand that is why they aren't selling.
Confession, when they first came out I actually kind of liked it (especially in brown). Until I heard how slow they were. Also I remembered I wasn't a middle-aged woman (the only people I've ever seen driving them).

It's basically a Camry wagon that is marketed as a crossover because Toyota thinks it's decently high off the ground, but in reality with a suspension drop it would look like a wagon.

I kind of thought of it as Toyota's RX.

Camry wagon with a mild lift and big wheels. midsized crossover. Between the rav4 and highlander. Also cheaper and more car like than the 4runner.

I would compare it to the outback. The outback has really grown in size over the years.

IMO, it's what the Crosstour should have been. More of a wagon than a hatchback humpmobile.
With the 19" wheels and raised clearance, I thought they were both silly. As I did with the CrossCabriolet.
Like the Crosstour and the CrossCabriolet before it, the Venza is also going out of production.

its probably one of the better looking cars to come out of toyota in a while. Looks fairly practical, still making me yawn just thinking about the car

Toyota's attempt to make a more boring and slow Mercedes-Benz R-Class.

its a "lifestyle enabling 5 passenger crossover that is both hip and mature, appealing to those who've found their way in life and are ready to take on new challenges"
i.e. I have no idea.

I just saw one of these the other day and it is actually a decent looking wagon. I'm sure Toyota brands it as a crossover or something to make it seem exciting, but it is clearly a station wagon. Probably boring to drive, but I actually do think they look decent, at least the one I saw in red was.
